Paying for College

Investing in your education is a big decision — and you don’t have to navigate the financial side alone. K-State offers a wide range of options to help make college more affordable, including scholarships, grants, work-study opportunities, and student loans. Explore all available resources through the Office of Student Financial Assistance to find the combination that works best for you.

Financial Aid and Student Loans

K-State students may be eligible for both subsidized and unsubsidized federal loans through the U.S. Department of Education. To get started, simply complete the FAFSA to determine your aid options.

If you choose to borrow, remember that student loans are long-term financial commitments. Review the terms carefully, borrow only what you truly need, and plan ahead for repayment after graduation. Smart borrowing today can help set you up for a confident financial future.

National and International Scholarships

The Department of Agricultural Economics has a proud legacy of national scholarship success. Our students have earned some of the most prestigious awards in the country including six Truman Scholars, two Marshall Scholars, and two Rhodes Scholars. If you’re passionate, high-achieving, and ready to compete on a national stage, we’re here to support you. Students interested in pursuing nationally competitive scholarships are encouraged to connect with Beth Powers, Director of Scholar Development and Undergraduate Research and the Office of Nationally Competitive Scholarships.
