Research Interests and Experience
Yacob's research focuses on intertemporal demand analysis for food and agricultural commodities; analyzing agricultural technology and production behavior of farms using parametric and nonparametric techniques; studying the impact of agricultural research and development (R&D) investments on farm incomes and national economy, adoption of agricultural technologies; and modeling poverty and malnutrition in developing countries. He teaches an undergraduate class in global agricultural development.
